Not My Noose!

The article about the trial that took place in Jena, Louisiana, makes me believe even more that we, Americans, still have not evolved from the close-minded, small town, ignorant minds that we have had since this country has been founded. The only difference between what happened in Jena and what happened in Little Rock, is the decade. The fact that the six teens were being prosicuted for something that happened because of the ignoarnce of children whos parents have not taught them that the color of others skin should not matter in the way that you treat them. Granted, the six teens were also not right because violence is never the answer and only escalates any situation, it never resolves it. But reading articles like this always makes me lose even more faith in the way that children are being educated in their homes and schools.
